A till that stops because the connection stops is not a till. Version 2.4 of ZOUTI POS finishes the work started last year: offline mode now covers the entire sales cycle.
What works without a network
- The complete sale: scanning, discounts, several payment methods, receipt printing.
- Customer credit, with the balance computed from local data.
- Register open and close, with the day report.
- Stock lookup, showing the last known quantity and the time of that reading.
What changed under the hood
Sales are written locally first, with a unique identifier generated on the terminal. When the connection returns, the queue uploads in order and the server rejects duplicates using that identifier. A sale recorded twice by a terminal that restarted now creates only one line.
One precaution that still applies
The stock shown offline is a snapshot, not a live count. If two registers sell the same last item during an outage, both sales will be accepted and the gap will appear at sync time in the discrepancy report. For sensitive items, keep one master register.
Updating
The update is free for all active subscriptions. From your customer space, under My products, download the Windows or Android build and install it over the current version: your local data is kept.
